This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and what your rights are.
Springview Finance is the trading name of Toynton Holdings Pty Ltd. When this policy says "we", "us" or "our" it means Toynton Holdings Pty Ltd t/as Springview Finance.
We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the 13 Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). We are also bound by the Privacy (Credit Reporting) Code 2025 when handling credit-related information.
Who we are
Springview Finance is a mortgage and business lending brokerage based in Kingston ACT. We hold our own Australian Credit Licence (ACL 496494) and are authorised to provide credit assistance in our own right. We work with Vow Financial Pty Ltd as our aggregator, which gives us access to a wider panel of lenders.
What information we collect
Personal information
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
Your name, address, date of birth and contact details
Employment details and income information
Details of your assets, liabilities and expenses
Information about your financial goals and circumstances
Communication records (emails, notes from meetings or phone calls)
Credit-related information
If you apply for a loan through us, we will also collect credit-related information, including:
Credit reports obtained from credit reporting bodies (CRBs) such as Equifax, Experian and illion
Details of your existing credit facilities
Repayment history information
Information about defaults, court judgments or bankruptcies where relevant
Website information
When you visit springview.com.au, we may automatically collect:
Your IP address and browser type
Pages visited and time spent on site
Referral source (how you found us)
Device and operating system information
We use cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience on our website. You can adjust your browser settings to decline cookies, though some site features may not work as a result.

Directly from you in meetings, by phone, email or through our website contact form
From third parties with your consent, including your employer (to verify income), your accountant or solicitor, or a credit reporting body
From lenders and other financial institutions in connection with your application
Automatically when you visit our website
We will always tell you why we are collecting your information at or before the point of collection.
Why we collect your information
We collect and use your information to:
Assess your needs and recommend suitable lending options
Prepare and submit loan applications on your behalf
Meet our responsible lending obligations under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 (NCCP Act)
Maintain our records as required by law (we are required to keep credit-related records for seven years)
Respond to your enquiries and stay in touch about your loan or application
Comply with legal and regulatory obligations, including anti-money laundering laws
Send you relevant information about our services, if you have agreed to receive it

Who we share your information with
We may share your information with:
Lenders and credit providers, to assess and process your loan application
Vow Financial Pty Ltd, our aggregator, which provides us with access to lender panels and platform services
Credit reporting bodies (CRBs), to obtain a credit report on your behalf as part of assessing your application. The main CRBs we may use are Equifax, Experian and illion. Each publishes its own privacy policy explaining how it handles your credit information
Valuers, conveyancers and other professionals involved in completing your transaction
Your representatives, such as your accountant, solicitor or financial adviser, where you have authorised us to do so
Government agencies and regulators, including ASIC and AFCA, where required by law or as part of a complaint or regulatory process
Law enforcement agencies, where required under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 or other applicable law
Service providers who help us run our business, such as our website host and document management tools, under confidentiality obligations
Potential buyers of our business. If we ever sell or transfer our business, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Overseas disclosure
Some of the third parties we work with may store or process data overseas. This includes our website platform (hosted by Squarespace in the United States) and potentially some of Vow Financial's service providers as our aggregator.
Where your information is sent overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure those recipients handle it in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles. In some cases, you may not have the same rights under foreign law as you would under Australian law. By using our services or website, you consent to your information being handled in this way where it is necessary for us to provide our services.
Credit reporting information
As a credit licensee, we have specific obligations under the Privacy (Credit Reporting) Code 2025.
When you apply for a loan through us, you authorise us to act as your agent to obtain your consumer credit report from a credit reporting body (CRB). We use that information only to assist with your application.
We may disclose your name, date of birth and address to a CRB to confirm your identity.
You have the right to:
Access the credit information we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate credit information
Make a complaint if you believe we have mishandled your credit information
How we protect your information
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. These steps include:
Secure document management systems
Password protection and access controls
Encrypted email communications where possible
Physical security at our offices
When we no longer need your information and are not required by law to keep it, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.
Notifiable data breaches
We are subject to the Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) scheme under the Privacy Act 1988. If we experience a data breach that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as soon as practicable.
Accessing and correcting your information
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete or misleading.

We will respond within 30 days. In some circumstances, we may need to decline access. If that happens, we will explain why in writing.
We do not charge a fee for access requests, though we may charge a reasonable fee for the cost of providing a large volume of documents.
Making a complaint
If you believe we have not handled your personal information correctly, please contact us first. We will investigate and respond within 30 days.
